Competition on Lobachevskii medal
Kazan University announces a competition on the Lobachevskii
medal. The Kazan University Council awards this medal to scientists
for distinguished achievements in geometry once five
years. The next rewarding is timed to
210th N.I.Lobachevskii's anniversary, December 1, 2002.
The right to nominate mathematicians for their distinguished works (scientific monographs, textbooks, series of scientific papers) belongs to scientific institutions and universities. The institution (university) must present to the Council the following documents:
- An official rewarding proposal signed by the head of institution and certified by the institution seal;
- The list of works.
The documents (two copies) should
be sent to:
