Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology

The Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology is one of the leading educational and research centres of Russia in the sphere of applied mathematics and information science - the most intensively developing field of knowledge. The Institute trains specialists competent in a wide range of questions dealing with the application of computers in education, science, industry, economy and management.

The Institute was opened in 1978 as a Faculty of Computer Science and Cybernetics on the initiative of its first Dean, prominent scholar and administrator of science professor A.Suldin (1928-1996). At present the Institute employs more than 100 lecturers and professors, including 27 Doctors of science.

Thanks to the high qualification of lecturers, effective forms of tuition and up-to-date computer facilities our graduates receive not only deep theoretical knowledge but also valuable applied skills. This makes their employment opportunities very promising.
